Off we go! (To Germany!)

John Law ShrewsburyExcited doesn’t quite cut it! I’m about to embark on a tour of Germany! I’m heading over there with John Law’s New Congregation. Featuring John, James Manwairing and Ashley John Long. We’ll have to see how much schoolboy german I can remember! The tour dates are:

  • 16/10/2017: Congregation, European Tour: Salon De Jazz, Cologne, Germany at 8.00pm
  • 17/10/2017: Congregation, European Tour: Unterfahrt, Munich, Germany at 8.00pm
  • 18/10/2017 Congregation, European Tour: Burghof, Lörrach, Germany at 8.00pm
  • 19/10/2017 Congregation, European Tour: Mausoleum, Offenbach, Germany at 8.00pm
  • 20/19/2017 Congregation, European Tour: Jazzforum, Bayreuth, Germany at 8:30pm
  • 21/10/2017 Congregation European Tour: Jazzclub In Der Mitte, Reutlingen, Germany at 8:00pm

Billy is a freelance musician performing regularly as a band leader and a sideman. After graduating from South West Music School and National Youth Jazz Collective, Billy enrolled on the Jazz Course at Birmingham Conservatoire. Whilst studying there he has received tuition from artists such as Mark Turner, John Taylor and Jeff Ballard. In 2014 Billy was awarded the "Tony Levin Drum Prize" for the "most swinging drummer" and performed at the UK National Drum Fair alongside Jean Toussaint and Arnie Somogyi. Billy is presently an in demand sideman performing/recording all across the uk with artists such as renowned pianist, John Law. He has also recorded for the BBC series "Father Brown".
